September 13-18, 2019

Lodging Host:  John & Eileen Best, 8599 Hathaway Rd., Kalamazoo  

Friday: September 13, 1:59 p.m.  Arrive at Kalamazoo/Battle Creek Airport (AZO) 
            Greeted at the airport by John Best, host coordinator.                Brief tour of the Pine Island Church and garden project on way to host’s home.  
            Late afternoon and evening free for rest and errands.
           
            Dinner hosts: John and Eileen Best, 8599 Hathaway Rd., Kalamazoo, MI

Saturday, September 14-
9:30–2:00 Presbytery of Lake Michigan Meeting, at Fairplain Presbyterian Church, in Benton Harbor, (40 minute drive from Kalamazoo).  
            9:45 a.m. Worship at Presbytery
            1:25 p.m. International Peacemaker Presentation, 15 minutes  
                        Crisis and peacemaking challenges in Cameroon. 
            2 p.m. See Lake Michigan nearby then return to rest  
            5:30-7:30 p.m.  Dinner Hosts: Robert & Mary Jo Poel, 2623 Hill-an-Brook Dr.                                Portage, MI

Sunday, September 15-
            10 a.m. Worship at Pine Island Presbyterian Church--Speaker 15 minutes.                            Peacemaker Presentation based on Matthew 25, the 2019 Peacemaking Theme.  
            Following Worship Q&A Session and Informal Conversation.

            3-5 Dinner and Visit with Cameroon Families, hosted by Richard and Celine                           Finjap- Informal gathering.

            5-7  p.m.  Kalamazoo Area Presbyterian Joint Youth Group, hosted by Pine                            Island Presbyterian Church at its Q Ave. property.  Picnic and                                                 Presentation/Program:  Learning about Cameroon.

Monday, September 16
            Morning Rest or Possible Tour of the Gilmore Car Museum

            1:30 p.m. Visit Tour of Tillers International

            4-5 p.m. Western Michigan University, at Political Science Library, 3301 Friedmann Hall on WMU’s campus 
                        "Crisis in Cameroon" Conversation with international governmental students.

            6 p.m.  Dinner at Martell’s Restaurant with Hosts: John & Eileen Best

Tuesday, September 17
            7 a.m. Men’s Fellowship, First Presbyterian Church, http://kzoofirstpres.org/

            9 a.m. Visit with District Staff of Fred Upton, U.S. Congressman

            10 a.m. Visit & Tour of First Presbyterian Church with staff
